FO: Fluttershy Finally Finished!

In case you don't know what FO is, it means finished object. And my FO is Fluttershy!

This photo is to show you her actual size in comparison to me!

So since May 3rd I've been a Fluttershy pattern tester for Nerdy Knitter Designs (if you want to find her pattern testing page, ravelry page, etc. just go to her blog and her links are at the top!) the pattern is available on Etsy, Ravelry, and Craftsy (want the links? Go to her blog linked above!).

I finally finished making her Sunday night! The process seemed immensely long because all the while I had midterms to study for and take, work, class work, friends graduation and other responsibilities. But I got through it and it was a really satisfying finished product! I love Fluttershy and she is my favorite pony from My Little Pony (if you didn't know that already) and now I have a replica of her plush size, yay!

If you want to see more and better photos of her you can go check out my Fluttershy ravelry page. Nerdy Knitter Designs is a great designer and she makes the most awesome stuff, mainly Pokemon and currently My Little Pony! She's going to make more ponies and I definitely would love to test out more of her designs :) After she finishes all the Princesses (after all the testing is completely done) I will probably buy those patterns to make over the summer or something :P Definitely go check her out! here!

Blue Corn Tortillas! // WIP

So.... It has been a month since I blogged and about my blue corn tortilla attempts! Well the reason I didn't put up my great 2nd attempt was that the third attempt with another recipe turned out...BAD. Plus I ate all the good 2nd batch before I could take a picture of them. BUT I have tried the 2nd recipe (of the 2nd batch) again but slightly modified to make it better and it turned out great! The pictures are below:

This is my brother rolling out the dough for me to fry. A cooked tortilla is to his right.
This is one being cooked on the stove.

Now about my WIP (works in progress). I finished one of two socks from a pattern called Cowasocky.
I probably won't get to the second sock until sometime in the summer because I'm busy with other projects at the moment. But it was a really fun first time making a sock, although I messed up multiple times, the learning process was great and the end gratification of finishing one was wonderful. It makes me love doing color work, which I definitely will do more of.

Recently was a friend's birthday and she loves purple (and two other friends and my mom love purple too so random lol but it really is starting to grow on me) so I was deciding to make something for her. This year one of my resolutions is to make everyone's birthday gift, so far I've done that. And I wanted it to be a useful one too so as I was searching up nerdy (Nintendo stuff mainly) patterns, I ran into DS cases and I realized she recently got a 3DS and she didn't have a case to hold it in so YES! And I jumped on making it and it was quick work too. I decided to go simple because it was 2 days before I decided to make it to give it to her. I striped with a medium purple and plum colors. Pictured is it unfinished but I plan to upload the photos later in a FO (finished objects) post. And under it is a top I'm working on but it's currently on hold because I'm working on making some My Little Ponies :)
Yay KNITTING!

They came out alright. I used this recipe but the day after I tried this recipe I tried this one and it came out so much better! I'll post up those pictures probably at my third try with another recipe.
